Borgsteede … Doddema

My name is Enno Borgsteede, and I’m a great great grandson of Lammerdina Doddema (I875). Her son Sjabbo Zuiderweg (I1747) had three daughters, and the oldest, Lammerdina Zuiderweg, is my grandmother. If you’re interested in more details about my line of the family, please send a private message.

    Hi Enno,
    I am now a real estate agent as you can see. I have had some free time lately and decided to look for my mother’s family members again. I noticed that you had a question on the internet in 2005, searching for my mother’s family, Duijn. I appreciate it very much. Unfortunately, I can not read Dutch very well. Were you able to find any information that might be helpful to me? Also, my mother has since moved to Lenoir, North Carolina, in June of 2007. Brother Mark is in Tennessee now. I am still in New Hampshire, and Dale is still in Florida.

    We had a big family reunion in Holland in 2006. Harris Kemp, my cousin in Mijdrecht, rented a clipper ship… the SailSucces… and we spent 10 days together, sailing up to the islands, Texel and Terschelling, and back. It was wonderful!

    Herman’s brother Frans is the only sibling left. Miep passed away this past November. Frans is doing well and still lives in Amsterdam. My family is getting together in North Carolina this coming July. With the euro so much stronger than the dollar, I am trying to convince the family in Holland to come to the states. I will keep you updated.
