Searching for…Kirsten Doddema

Another item I found on Ancestry.com was a reference to a worker named Kirsten Doddema. It appears in the late 1950’s she worked on a few boats going to Venezuela and Aruba. Anybody have any idea whom she is and who she’s related to?

Send me whatever you got! I’d be interested to learn more about her.

Here are some document images that I was able to obtain with the help of Mr Papa and Ancestry.com:

On 20 June 1945 Piet Johan Doddema, dock labourer in Rotterdam, married Kirsten Margrethe Pedersen, born 21 July 1922. Her name sounds scandinavian (Danish, Norwegian?). Piet Johan was born 1 December 1921 as a son of Wientje Doddema, born 30 may 1887 in Nieuweschans and Jantje Prins, born 1891 in Nieuw Beerta. Wientje Doddema was, of course, a son of Tammo Doddema and Nettje Loers. Piet Johan and Kirsten Margrethe divorced on 18 January 1962 without children. Could she be the Kirsten You are looking for?

Henk, would you be able to copy this to the forum. I have no information on the children of Wientje Doddema and Jantje Prins. Looking forward to adding it to the database.
