Getting ready for the big time!
I’m mentally preparing myself for the big overhaul at my main site: DoddemaGen. I’ll be upgrading WP to the latest and greatest 2.1.2 as well as switching themes. At this point, I think I’m going to continue to use dKret2 just because it is so easy to use and really requires little modification. It’s clean and I can have that 3-column look that I like if I desire.
Now I just require a change in graphics. I’m still trying to learn how to use the graphics software that I have so until then, grass might be the only header available. Anyways, should have everything done by tonight if all goes well.
I am currently at a dilemma regarding what I should use for a gallery. dKret2 utilizes myGallery while my site currently uses Gallery2. I haven’t seen much of myGallery and it is mostly a German site but the people over at dKret2 are very helpful. We’ll see how hard it is to modify G2 to work with the theme. If so, I’ll make myGallery work, especially since that piece of software doesn’t appear to have the troubles making lightbox/thickbox work. Time will tell.

You can find all sorts of plugins at http://wp-plugins.net/ , the plugins used widget I use is at http://www.saltando.net/2006/04/03/jugando-con-los-widgets/ . Its in Italian or Spanish or something I can’t read:)

Thanks. I knew about the one site but I tried searching and didn’t find anything. I’m liking that widget. Too bad it didn’t have version number as well, but beggars can’t be choosers.

I had a look at your main site but couldn’t find a gallerypage. I would like to have a look at Gallery2 to see the look of it. I could implement support for it in dKret as well (if there is demand for it).
Maybe you could do that also and give me your changes.

Unfortunately, I don’t know how to modify what’s necessary but I have a good friend who might be able to help me out. I’ll check with him and let you know the results.

Bernard, thats not the proper url for the galley… thats outside of wordpress… you should use http://doddemagen.com/wp-gallery2.php
The nav links at the top are updated to that link… the g2 is now integrated into the theme way of displaying pages… is that what you are looking for?
once you are happy with the look, I can tweak the g2 css to match the theme colors and such…

Thanks Mr Papa! As always, you’re a big help.
Now I’ll have to try and see if I can get support added for non-pages in the navigation links. It would make it so much easier than having to hard-code Gallery2 in the header file!
