Vogel Center is near the county line of Missaukee and Osceola Counties. Marion is a few miles away in one direction and McBain is a few miles away in the other. The family farm where my father was born is also near the county line (on the Middle Branch of the Clam River). Falmouth is another small town nearby. There’s a store and gas station that carries the Vogel Center name.

If your relative was a farmer around Vogel Center, you might want to read “80 Acres” by Ronald Jager – a reminiscence of a farm in the area.

Update: I mentioned in the post that Marion is part of Clam Union Township. According to Histopolis.com, the Vogel Center Cemetery is to be considered in Clam Union Township!
