Gedcom update-3/26/2013
It's been almost 4 months since my last gedcom update. I didn't take the time to compute how many documents or individuals were added but I can honestly say, it was not a small amount. I plan on making gedcom updates monthly to reflect my work.
The main reason it's taking more time is I'm also reconciling my records with the new FamilySearch FamilyTree as well as combining the many duplicate records that are out there…and there are many. Some individuals had more than 6 records! It takes a lot of work combining these records as well as adding all my sources as well.
Why do all this work? I spend alot of my time working on this project. It's one of my life goals (besides being the best husband and father that I can be!) to have as complete a family history as possible, not just for myself but for later generations! I try to be as thorough as I can. Heck, I'm still learning and fixing mistakes I've made myself in the past 20 years. Family history is a continual learning curve. Take that and add all the FamilySearch submissions and you have a handful!
By taking the time now, adding my sources and reasons why I believe my information is the most correct should ensure less mistakes in the future.
How can you help? Be patient as I work. Pray for me. Ask questions! Send more information my way including photos of significant events.

I have my own suggestion for what needs to be accomplished on this site.
Ideas:
- Add new scheme that combines elements from the classic theme. As this is a family history site, I would like to have a kind of antique look. Of course, I know next to nothing about CSS so I imagine I'll be asking for lots of help with this.
- Integrate theme with Gallery2. Mr Papa has been helping in this regard. Thanks to him and the folks over at WPG2, the dKret2 author has decided to implement support for G2/WPG2. That's awesome!
- Integrate theme with TNG. This one is going to be a little difficult. It's a hodgepodge of stuff over there. Although it's an awesome piece of software, there hasn't been alot of support for themes. I think it's amazing, really. Out of all the software that I've used in the last year of owning my own website, it's the only one that doesn't have lots of user support for themes. Lots of plugins but it seems as if everybody is doing their own thing. I don't want to be offensive but there are lots of us that don't know how to do that kind of stuff.
- Add birthdays/anniversaries information from TNG to blog footer. I already have the necessary files. I just need to figure out how to add some information and then insert some PHP code in the footer of the blog and I should be set. Keep your fingers crossed.
That's for starters. I'll add more when I think of it.
you need to style these forums to look like your dkret… pretty simple… just css
hint, grab the gradient from your site menu bar and replace the blue gradient the forum currently uses… then change the blue side bars to the green… hollery if you want me to give it a go for ya…
ps… glad you finally found these forums… I have been using em since 1.4… oh and a few tiny snippets of my code (not much really) made it in Andy's base code… he offers great support if you need it…
oh well… not very good at waiting… hacked one out in five minutes… can do more if its in the right direction… needed a break from my cruise site redesign…
anyways, if you dont like it, just reselect the default forum theme inthe manage forum style options…

One of the things I'm trying to do is make up my own scheme without the green (I hate the green). I haven't asked for any help as you've been busy with your redesign. I guess I also don't know what exactly is possible with theme design ie what can be added using this theme, etc.
I assume you still want the dkret layout… and I assume you mean the whole site theme and not just the forums…
not really much to the theme, color wise… what color scheme would you like? new redesigned cruise site almost done, its in beta…

According to the dkret2 site, to make the font bigger, they deleted all font-size values. I don't know if that's how it's normally done but it worked for them. How would I go about doing that?
