you need to style these forums to look like your dkret… pretty simple… just css

hint, grab the gradient from your site menu bar and replace the blue gradient the forum currently uses… then change the blue side bars to the green… hollery if you want me to give it a go for ya…

ps… glad you finally found these forums… I have been using em since 1.4… oh and a few tiny snippets of my code (not much really) made it in Andy's base code… he offers great support if you need it…

According to the dkret2 site, to make the font bigger, they deleted all font-size values. I don't know if that's how it's normally done but it worked for them. How would I go about doing that?

I assume you still want the dkret layout... and I assume you mean the whole site theme and not just the forums...

not really much to the theme, color wise... what color scheme would you like? new redesigned cruise site almost done, its in beta...

anyways, if you dont like it, just reselect the default forum theme inthe manage forum style options…

One of the things I'm trying to do is make up my own scheme without the green (I hate the green). I haven't asked for any help as you've been busy with your redesign. I guess I also don't know what exactly is possible with theme design ie what can be added using this theme, etc.

Bernard Doddema on Fix Simple Forum font

OK, the font is way too small here. It's ridiculous. I talked to the dKret2 author and he said it was as simple as removing all the font size attributes from the default skin. Argh! Nothing ever is as simple as....well unless I say it is.

The file is a jumble. You know the kind....code all over the place with special characters inserted everywhere. I don't know how it happens but it's a pain nonetheless.

Anyways, by removing the font-size attributes, my forum will look like dKret2. Although I'm all for being unique, I just want this to be bigger!

I have my own suggestion for what needs to be accomplished on this site.

Ideas:

Add new scheme that combines elements from the classic theme. As this is a family history site, I would like to have a kind of antique look. Of course, I know next to nothing about CSS so I imagine I'll be asking for lots of help with this.

Integrate theme with Gallery2. Mr Papa has been helping in this regard. Thanks to him and the folks over at WPG2, the dKret2 author has decided to implement support for G2/WPG2. That's awesome!

Integrate theme with TNG. This one is going to be a little difficult. It's a hodgepodge of stuff over there. Although it's an awesome piece of software, there hasn't been alot of support for themes. I think it's amazing, really. Out of all the software that I've used in the last year of owning my own website, it's the only one that doesn't have lots of user support for themes. Lots of plugins but it seems as if everybody is doing their own thing. I don't want to be offensive but there are lots of us that don't know how to do that kind of stuff.

Add birthdays/anniversaries information from TNG to blog footer. I already have the necessary files. I just need to figure out how to add some information and then insert some PHP code in the footer of the blog and I should be set. Keep your fingers crossed.

That's for starters. I'll add more when I think of it.
